Senior Accountant, Intercompany and Consolidations (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, or Seattle, Washington; hybrid attendance at one of the offices at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Prepare and own monthly and quarterly multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation closes in Workday, including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and consolidated reconciliations.
• Manage the intercompany sub-ledger end to end, including transaction matching, settlements, balance confirmations, and resolution of out-of-balance positions.
• Design and maintain cost-allocation models for shared costs, including pay-on-behalf-of and collect-on-behalf-of flows.
• Document transaction flows, entity structures, agreements, and elimination logic while building the target operating model, procedures, and controls.
• Partner with Tax and Treasury on transfer pricing, foreign exchange accounting, and intercompany settlement processes.
• Integrate acquired entities, build close automation using Workday and reporting or AI-assisted tools, and support audits and technical accounting analysis.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience preparing multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation closes in an ERP, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP for consolidations, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency.
• Experience building or materially redesigning accounting processes, models, or reconciliations.
• Advanced spreadsheet and data-handling skills for large, multi-entity datasets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Visa sponsorship is available, subject to role and candidate eligibility.

Nice to have

• CPA, ACA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Workday Financials or Workday Financial Consolidation experience, or experience with another major ERP consolidation module.
• Experience with transfer pricing, intercompany service agreements, FX accounting, Treasury settlement processes, or acquired-entity integration.
• Experience automating close processes through scripting, reporting tools, or AI-assisted tooling.
• Public accounting experience combined with high-growth or multi-entity operating experience.
