Salary: $187,000–$315,000 USD per year; base salary only, with equity grants included in total compensation.

Company

hirify.global is a defense technology startup that designs and manufactures high-performance unmanned systems for modern battlefield applications.

What you will do

  • Perform worst-case circuit analysis and component derating from schematic through post-layout, correlate findings with bench measurements, and close issues before release.
  • Bring up, characterize, and validate circuit boards against requirements while authoring test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Run signal and power integrity simulations, validate results with bench instrumentation, and provide input on stackup, layout, and decoupling decisions.
  • Plan and execute qualification testing, including HALT/HASS, thermal, vibration, and EMC pre-compliance testing, and lead root-cause analysis of failures.
  • Design and build test fixtures, hardware-in-the-loop stations, HALT/HASS setups, automation, and data-acquisition systems.
  • Support design engineers with design-for-test and design-for-reliability input during product development.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of electrical hardware engineering experience, including hands-on ownership of circuit-board design verification, validation, or qualification.
  • Hands-on production-hardware experience with worst-case circuit analysis and component derating from schematic-level analysis through post-layout checks and bench correlation.
  • Experience with board bring-up, characterization, validation, and writing test plans and reports.
  • Experience with signal and power integrity simulation using HFSS, HyperLynx, SIwave, or similar tools, plus bench validation with TDRs, VNAs, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
  • Qualification testing experience, including HALT/HASS and thermal and vibration testing to MIL-STD-810 or equivalent standards.
  • Experience designing and building test fixtures, HIL stations, and automated test setups, including scripting in Python or similar.
  • Board-level design experience with personally designed schematics and PCBs; test fixtures and test stations count.
  • Deep proficiency with oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, electronic loads, and environmental chambers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Nice to have

  • EMC/EMI pre-compliance testing experience using MIL-STD-461 or equivalent.
  • High-speed interface compliance testing experience with PCIe, MIPI, USB, or Ethernet.
  • Experience taking hardware through a production ramp with a contract manufacturer, including production test development.
  • Hardware background in UAV, aerospace, automotive, defense, or medical devices.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fast-paced, hands-on startup environment focused on moving capabilities from design to deployment quickly.
  • Work on unmanned systems tested in combat and produced at scale.
  • Highly competitive equity grants as part of total compensation.
  • Equal opportunity employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
