Security Protective Manager (Säkerhetsskyddschef)

What you will do

• Plan, direct, and audit security protection activities under the Swedish Security Protection Act and relevant authority regulations.
• Structure and execute end-to-end security vetting for new hires and consultants, including registry controls and in-depth interviews.
• Establish, revise, and maintain security protection analyses and plans.
• Design and deliver internal security briefings and training to strengthen security awareness.
• Set technical and physical standards for premises and information systems handling classified data.
• Act as the primary liaison with external supervisory authorities.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent specialized training from the Armed Forces or Säkerhetspolisen.
• Experience working in classified operations governed by the Swedish Security Protection Act, preferably in defense, government authorities, or an approved supplier.
• Experience conducting security vetting interviews, managing Säpo registry controls, and authoring or updating security protection analyses.
• Strong understanding of the Swedish Security Protection Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and GDPR.
• High personal integrity, structured documentation skills, and the ability to balance business enablement with strict security controls.
• A background control is conducted on the final candidate.

Nice to have

• Experience as a military officer, military police officer, investigator, or employee of a state intelligence service.
