Senior Accountant - Lease

Location: Dallas, TX; this position requires access to export-controlled information and applicants must satisfy applicable U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements.

Base salary: $98,000–$130,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare and post journal entries for right-of-use asset amortization, lease liability accretion, variable lease expenses, and related accruals.
• Perform month-end reconciliations, support period-end close, and maintain lease accounting schedules through recognition, remeasurement, and modification events.
• Review Network Service Agreements and other contracts for embedded leases under ASC 842.
• Prepare P&L and balance sheet analytics, variance explanations, and audit documentation for lease-related accounts.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and Operations on lease assessments, modifications, and contract amendments.
• Improve lease accounting processes to increase operational efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience; lease accounting, technical accounting, or real estate/infrastructure experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ASC 842 and its application to operational lease transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities during month-end close.
• Collaborative communication skills for resolving accounting questions with Legal, FP&A, and Operations.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active CPA pursuit.
• Experience with lease accounting software such as CoStar, NetSuite, or similar tools.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience in a high-growth technology, cloud infrastructure, or data center company.
