Senior Accountant - Lease

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States. The position requires access to export-controlled information; applicants must meet applicable U.S. person, export authorization, or eligibility requirements.

Salary: $98,000–$130,000 base salary annually, plus potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare and post journal entries for right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, variable lease expenses, and related accruals.
• Perform month-end lease account reconciliations and support timely period-end close.
• Maintain lease accounting schedules through initial recognition, remeasurement, and modification events.
• Review Network Service Agreements and other contracts for embedded leases under ASC 842.
• Prepare P&L and balance sheet analytics, variance explanations, and audit documentation.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, and Operations on lease assessments, amendments, process improvements, and scalable accounting operations.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in lease accounting, technical accounting, real estate, or infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of ASC 842 and operational lease transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities during month-end close.
• Collaborative communication skills for working with Legal, FP&A, and Operations.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active CPA pursuit.
• Experience with lease accounting software such as CoStar, NetSuite, or similar tools.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience in a high-growth technology, cloud infrastructure, or data center company.
• Interest in using AI for problem-solving.
