Software Engineer II, Infrastructure Security

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working model. Work authorization and relocation support are available for this position. The role may require up to 10% travel.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and operate cloud-native infrastructure security services used across hirify.global.
• Own services and meaningful components end to end, from implementation through production operation.
• Improve availability, scalability, latency, efficiency, reliability, and security across distributed systems.
• Build tooling, automation, monitoring, alerting, and documentation that improve developer experience and security posture.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product-facing engineers, and platform engineers on system design, architecture, code reviews, and technical solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, focusing on prevention and reducing operational toil.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and operating cloud-native, distributed systems in production.
• Production-quality programming experience in Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or a similar cloud provider, including managed services, networking, and IAM concepts.
• Experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Understanding of scalable multi-tenant architectures, secure system design, reliability, performance, and observability.
• Comfort with independent ownership, technical collaboration, on-call participation, and responding to production issues.

Nice to have

• Experience building or integrating security systems such as secrets management, IAM, authentication, authorization, or policy enforcement.
• Familiarity with service meshes, API gateways, or zero-trust architectures.
• Experience improving distributed-system performance or debugging complex multi-service workflows.
