Senior Workout Officer (Finance)

Location: Remote within the United States; Trenton listed as the location

Salary: $93,750–$170,000 USD annual base pay

What you will do

• Manage complex loan workout accounts, troubled loan relationships, and workout-related expenses.
• Reduce criticized and classified exposures in line with risk management objectives and corporate budgets.
• Analyze credit submissions and borrower financial strength to assess financing restructures.
• Process charged-off financings, including litigation, asset discovery, and fraud investigations.
• Monitor portfolios, quality assurance, reporting accuracy, regulatory compliance, and internal policy adherence.
• Lead special workout projects, communicate credit risk recommendations to management, and mentor junior workout professionals.

Requirements

• 9+ years of workout or collections experience and 9+ years in the financial services industry.
• Advanced knowledge of collection and workout best practices, problem resolution, and implementation.
• Experience in portfolio management and/or underwriting, including SBA loans and multifamily properties, especially in New York.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, training, military service, or education.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, supervisory, customer service, and project management skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.
