A fast-growing aerospace startup developing satellite buses for commercial spacecraft and payload companies.

What you will do

  • Own sensor products across conceptualization, architecture, design, analysis, prototyping, qualification, and production.
  • Act as the hardware Responsible Engineering Authority, providing technical solutions, guidance, and documentation during production issues.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and tasking within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Define and execute verification, validation, qualification, and test campaigns for sensor subsystem requirements.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, reports, test stations, and ground support equipment with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform trade studies, failure investigations, and root cause analyses, and present technical work at design reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, systems, electrical, mechanical, computer, or software engineering, applied physics, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience developing, prototyping, integrating, or testing multidisciplinary systems.
  • Experience owning hardware, projects, or products.
  • Strong understanding of test engineering fundamentals and methodologies.
  • Leadership, time-management, organizational, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to research and create clean-sheet subsystem architectures and designs in an open design space.

Nice to have

  • 1–2 years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or other technical product development and testing.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or applied physics discipline.
  • Experience developing, designing, implementing, or testing sensor systems.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFMA principles, satellite systems, space environments, hardware product lifecycles, and project management techniques.
