TL;DR
Engineer I-Applications (Embedded Firmware) (Secure Computing): Developing, testing, and supporting embedded firmware solutions for Embedded Controller applications on x86 and Arm-based PC platforms with an accent on hardware integration, system-level debugging, and customer enablement. Focus on troubleshooting embedded systems, creating technical documentation and demonstrations, and supporting product adoption across cross-functional teams.

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite office role

What you will do

  • Develop, enhance, test, and support embedded firmware for Secure Computing products.
  • Work on Embedded Controller applications for x86 and Arm-based PC platforms.
  • Support product deployment, customer onboarding, hardware integration, system integration, troubleshooting, and technical enablement.
  • Deliver technical demonstrations and resolve customer issues through Salesforce.
  • Create application notes, engineering documentation, and other technical collateral.
  • Collaborate with engineering, validation, marketing, and customer teams throughout the product adoption lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience developing, testing, deploying, verifying, and validating embedded systems, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
  • Strong programming skills in Embedded C and experience with Python scripting.
  • Knowledge of ARM architecture, Linux environments, command-line build tools, and embedded communication protocols such as I2C and SPI.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, debuggers, protocol analyzers, and cross-platform development and debugging environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; the role is based in the Austin office.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Chromium EC firmware, Zephyr RTOS, or FreeRTOS.
  • Knowledge of basic cryptography and security algorithms.
  • Knowledge of Azure and IoT platforms.
  • Experience with MPLAB, Keil IDE, and related toolchains.
