Technical Program Manager, New Product Introduction (Robotics)

Location: USA remote with travel of up to 40% for labs, pilot cells, integration events, and launch activities.

Base salary: $101,000–$138,600 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead Industrial Controls execution for a strategic innovation program, managing one to three projects within the workstream.
• Own scope, budget, schedules, milestones, risk registers, governance, and progress reporting through NPI readiness and launch.
• Manage external controls vendors, including scope alignment, deliverable tracking, issue escalation, and readiness risks.
• Coordinate PLC, Electrical Engineering, Internal Tools Software, Product, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Field Operations.
• Support technical, design, gate, and executive reviews, as well as prototype builds, engineering validation, system integration, pilot builds, and production launch.
• Manage engineering change impacts for Controls scope, including ECNs, BOM releases, and configuration implications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of technical project or program management experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering work across integrated hardware and software products, robotics, automation, or industrial systems.
• Experience with NPI, manufacturing scale-up, and supplier or vendor management.
• Experience owning budgets, scope baselines, integrated schedules, risk registers, and executive-ready status reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Industrial Controls or PLC NPI experience, electrical design packages, and industrial automation or robotics cell experience.
• Rockwell controls experience.
• Experience with safety systems, FAT checklists, zone sequencing, manufacturing readiness, and external controls vendor management.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or MBA.
• PMP certification or equivalent.
