Senior Electrical Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays based on work requirements.

Annual base salary: $97,406.66–$135,834.99.

What you will do

• Develop electrical system and control-panel designs for air-cooled data center chillers, from customer requirements through production implementation.
• Design electrical panels and wire harnesses, perform load calculations, and select electrical and electromechanical power components.
• Create unit wiring schematics using AutoCAD and/or Creo Schematics.
• Lead product design projects, guide designers and factory technicians, and coordinate project schedules and reports.
• Define and complete qualification testing, supervise product validation, and prepare test documentation and technical reports.
• Support production, field service, technical support, and order fulfillment by resolving safety, assembly, quality, and reliability issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Engineering Physics.
• 7–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Creo Schematics.
• Knowledge of product safety and design standards, including UL/CSA 1995, UL 60335, UL 508, UL 508A, the National Electrical Code, ANSI Z21.47, and ASHRAE 90.1.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, problem-solving, quality, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to lead a project team or contribute effectively as a team member.

Nice to have

• Basic experience with 3D CAD applications such as Creo.
