What you will do
- Develop embedded C/C++ real-time software for navigation products.
- Build software tools, diagnostics, and infrastructure for hardware bring-up, factory testing, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with product management to define requirements, plan realistic timelines, and deliver components to schedule.
- Work with hardware engineers to align hardware designs with software requirements.
- Contribute to future product design and comply with relevant technical and regulatory standards.
- Own project components, manage deadlines, report progress, and support the growth of team skills.
Requirements
- Degree in computer systems, software engineering, mechatronics, or a similar discipline.
- 6+ years of engineering experience with complex C/C++ embedded software products.
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, real-time application development, and low-power electronics.
- Experience across product development, including concept development, R&D, design, planning, and production-quality software releases.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, time management, strategic thinking, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with Linux and containerised applications; experience with FreeRTOS and STM32 low-level programming.
Nice to have
- Strong mathematics and physics background or control systems expertise.
- MATLAB and Python proficiency.
- Experience with ARM Cortex-A53 processors in FPGA SoC environments, including AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC platforms.
- Experience with the Yocto Project for custom embedded Linux distributions.
