TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX. On-site role, no remote options available.

What you will do

  • Design and implement foundational simulation infrastructure using modern C++.
  • Ensure simulation runs are technically correct, highly efficient, and reproducible.
  • Collaborate with platform and autonomy teams to maintain integration consistency with real-world deployments.
  • Lead design reviews and influence cross-team technical architecture decisions.
  • Develop robust tools for analyzing performance and debugging complex system behaviors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of production-level software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided).
  • Expertise in benchmarking, profiling, and optimizing complex systems.
  • Experience working within large-scale or distributed compute environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python for automation and tooling.
  • Familiarity with Bazel build systems.
  • Background in robotics, simulation, or embedded systems development.
  • Experience modeling real-world physics, sensors, or agent-based environments.
