QA Automation & Performance Analyst (Playwright)

Location: Hybrid in the United States

Salary: $40.00–$47.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests across the software development lifecycle.
• Create functional, regression, API, and performance tests using Playwright, TypeScript, Java, k6, and AI-assisted testing tools.
• Design realistic load-testing scenarios by scripting user journeys, parameterizing data, and building load models.
• Translate requirements into detailed test plans and cases, then conduct structured manual and exploratory testing.
• Investigate defects using DevTools, application logs, stack traces, heap dumps, and HTTP network traces.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, manage test data, track defects, and provide root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of professional experience in software quality engineering, automated testing, and manual testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, Java, or similar modern automation frameworks.
• Experience designing and executing performance and load tests with tools such as k6.
• Strong debugging skills using Google DevTools, application logs, stack traces, and network protocol inspection.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, SQL queries, test data management, Zephyr Scale, or GitLab.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools, Model Context Protocol, or modern testing copilots.
• Experience with heap dump analysis, memory profiling, and advanced performance tuning.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integrations and automated test orchestration.
