Software Engineer (eCommerce)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; hybrid work. Up to 10% domestic or international travel may be required. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $100,000–$167,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

• Implement and modify eCommerce application software based on Agile epics and user stories.
• Develop and maintain test applications supporting continuous integration and deployment.
• Maintain software across its lifecycle and troubleshoot issues across operating systems, databases, backend, UI, and networks.
• Document architecture through functional block diagrams, data, logic, flow, and sequence charts.
• Provide technical direction to project teams and contribute to planning across multiple functions and dependencies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and AWS.
• Experience with NodeJS, JavaScript, ReactJS, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI Specification, and MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB.
• Experience with Bash scripting, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, payment industry security, observability, and AWS microservices performance tuning.
• Strong engineering communication, project planning, prioritization, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• TypeScript, AWS RDS/Aurora, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeCommit, and AWS CDK experience.
• Experience with QuickSight, Tableau, Grafana, and observability best practices.
• Knowledge of payment processing, payment gateways, or e-wallets.
