Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/React)

Location: Hybrid in Seattle, Washington; minimum four days per week in the hirify.global corporate headquarters required.

Salary: $142,000–$220,500 annual, with possible performance-based incentives or bonuses.

hirify.global operates retail and e-commerce channels, including product websites, mobile applications, in-store systems, and marketplace integrations.

What you will do

• Build and operate Java microservices for product catalogs, merchandising hierarchies, and organizational master data.
• Develop React and TypeScript internal tools for merchants, buyers, and data stewards.
• Integrate services with Kafka event streaming, Temporal workflows, ingestion pipelines, and downstream enterprise consumers.
• Build validation, canonicalization, and entity resolution capabilities to improve product data quality across retail channels.
• Own production operations through observability, runbooks, alerting, on-call rotations, and incident response.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, design reviews, technical standards, and engineer mentorship.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering backend services and frontend applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, or Data Engineering.
• Strong experience with Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, microservices, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
• Production experience with React and TypeScript, including usability and accessibility considerations.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, schema evolution, idempotency, and data partitioning.
• Availability to work in the Seattle office at least four days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with product information management or retail and e-commerce domains.
• Background in entity resolution, canonicalization, or data quality systems.
• Experience with Temporal.io or similar durable execution frameworks.
• Contributions to engineering standards, shared libraries, or developer experience tooling.
