Human Resources Generalist

Location: Remote, Texas, United States

Salary: $40.00–$45.00 per hour; contract position.

What you will do

• Administer day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle.
• Support employee relations, performance management, investigations, and workplace issues.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, and personnel files.
• Support recruiting activities, including interviews, candidate coordination, and offers.
• Coordinate with the PEO and benefit providers on benefits, payroll-related matters, and compliance.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics, update policies and handbooks, and improve HR processes.

Requirements

• Approximately five years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Knowledge of employee relations, employment compliance, benefits administration, leave management, and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and AI tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience supporting a multi-state workforce and telecommunications, cable, broadband, utility, construction, or infrastructure organizations is preferred.

Nice to have

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
• Experience supporting field operations and geographically dispersed workforces.
