SAP HANA Platform Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize HANA-native data models and analytical objects.
• Support S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and standalone HANA platforms.
• Translate complex business and analytics requirements into performant HANA models.
• Diagnose and resolve HANA performance issues across the SAP landscape.
• Work with HANA replication, security models, analytic privileges, and roles.
• Support large-scale HANA migrations and upgrades.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of SAP HANA development experience; the position requires 6+ years of overall experience.
• Hands-on expertise with calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript.
• Strong understanding of HANA architecture, including in-memory storage, columnar processing, and parallel execution.
• Experience with HANA performance tuning tools and methodologies, replication tools such as SLT, SDI, and SDA, and HANA security models.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA embedded analytics or BW/4HANA modeling, plus strong SQL skills.

Nice to have

• SAP-certified HANA modeling or development credentials.
• Experience with HANA Native Storage Extension or dynamic tiering.
• Exposure to HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and BTP-based analytics tooling such as SAC.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale HANA migrations and upgrades.
