Sr. ABAP BTP Engineer (SAP)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; 70% in-office work model. The role requires eligibility as a U.S. person under U.S. export-control rules.

Salary: $130,800–$209,400 per year, plus potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support SAP solutions across ABAP, SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori/UI5, RAP, and CAP.
• Build advanced ABAP objects, APIs, interfaces, workflows, forms, enhancements, and object-oriented components.
• Develop BTP applications using Business Application Studio, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, Workflow, and Event Mesh.
• Create scalable SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 user experiences and support clean-core and side-by-side extension strategies.
• Design integrations across SAP and non-SAP platforms using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architecture.
• Support SAP Joule and Business AI use cases, testing, deployment, production support, documentation, and technical governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of SAP development experience, including deep ABAP expertise and 3+ years of SAP BTP development.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, RICEFW objects, Fiori/UI5, BTP services, RAP, CAP, clean-core principles, and side-by-side extensibility.
• Working knowledge of SAP Business AI, including SAP Joule, Joule Studio, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and Generative AI Hub.
• Experience with AI prompt design, enterprise-data grounding, security, authorization, privacy, and responsible AI governance.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export-control requirements; non-U.S. persons cannot be sponsored for an export-control license.

• Experience in an FDA-regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
