Business Data Analyst (Business Intelligence)

Location: Remote (US); U.S. citizenship is required. Relocation expenses are not compensated. Applicants must pass a federal background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for classified information access.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Gather business requirements, analyze source systems, define data sources and transformation requirements, and design data models and metadata.
• Acquire and analyze enterprise data and metrics for dashboards and other visualizations.
• Collaborate with business areas and project teams to define, prioritize, and document business intelligence and data visualization requirements.
• Design dashboard and report prototypes and develop deliverable solutions using business intelligence tools.
• Document data acquisition, management, and governance processes and implement process improvements.
• Create training materials and provide group and one-on-one training to end users while supporting a government financial office.

Requirements

• At least five years of government acquisition, finance, financial management, program management, or related experience within a Department of War organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics, or a related discipline; nine or more years of relevant experience may substitute for education.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to access classified information are required.
• Strong analytical, communication, diplomatic, time-management, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work extended periods at a computer, lift or carry at least 15 pounds, travel when required, and work additional hours or weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Qlik View.
• Experience with CCaR, PMRT, Advana, or the War Data Platform.
• Department of War or Department of the Air Force experience.
