Staff Business Intelligence Data Analyst

Salary: $115,000–$178,000 USD per year, with the range varying by hiring location and other factors.

What you will do

• Lead strategic, cross-functional analytical initiatives from scoping and stakeholder alignment through delivery.
• Advise senior leaders and functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, translating business questions into scalable data products and decision-support insights.
• Define metrics frameworks, data modeling practices, data storytelling standards, and analytics best practices.
• Design and maintain scalable data infrastructure and workflows using modern data stack tools such as dbt.
• Drive data literacy through enablement resources and training, and mentor analysts at all levels.
• Own data quality, governance, stewardship practices, data catalog maintenance, and the discoverability of trusted data assets.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data as an analyst, engineer, or scientist.
• 6+ years working with large-scale cloud data warehouses of 1B+ rows and 6+ years using BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or DOMO.
• Expert-level SQL and 4+ years building data models with dbt, Snowflake, or an equivalent modern data stack, including layered modeling, testing, performance optimization, and cost management.
• Strong analytics engineering and data system design experience across databases, schemas, marts, aggregates, and views.
• Experience owning complex cross-functional analytics projects and implementing data access and security practices inside and outside data warehouses.
• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, technology, mathematics, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience building multi-quarter analytical roadmaps or leading organization-wide data initiatives.
• Experience introducing tools, techniques, or patterns that improve productivity or quality.
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics including ARR, churn, retention, NRR, and product usage analytics.
• Certifications in data, analytics, dbt, Snowflake, or major cloud platforms.
