TL;DR
Java Tech Lead (Java/Spring Boot): Building and supporting enterprise backend services and delivery pipelines with an accent on REST APIs, Kafka integrations, database management, and continuous delivery. Focus on leading technical work, designing data models and queries, orchestrating deployments, and improving observability with Splunk, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid attendance required once per week

What you will do
- Lead technical development of enterprise Java backend projects.
- Build and maintain services with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
- Integrate Apache Kafka and manage data modeling, querying, and database operations.
- Support automated delivery pipelines and continuous integration and delivery.
- Contribute to observability, deployment orchestration, and infrastructure management.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Tech Lead.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
- Experience with REST APIs and Kafka.
- Experience with Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, and/or GitHub.
- English and Portuguese fluency at B2 level; based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit; available for hybrid work in Lisbon once per week.
