Backend Developer (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon or Porto, Portugal, with onsite work required 2 days per week

What you will do

• Develop Java backend services using Spring Boot.
• Design solutions based on AWS, microservices, and established design patterns.
• Contribute to frontend development when required.
• Deliver features through Agile practices, sprints, product backlogs, and sprint stories.
• Deploy and maintain solutions using DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment patterns.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on Java development experience and proficiency with recent Java editions and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, microservices architecture, design patterns, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Practical understanding of API and data privacy security best practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices, including configuration management, CI/CD, Gitflow, IaC, and deployment patterns.
• English proficiency at B2+ level is required.
• Availability to work onsite 2 days per week in Lisbon or Porto is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with React or Angular frontend technologies.
• Experience with Node and PostgreSQL.
