CIB Structured Finance Associate (Tax Equity)

Location: United States of America; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Annual base pay: $175,000–$225,000 USD

What you will do

• Originate, execute, and distribute tax equity and tax credit financing transactions.
• Prepare marketing materials and proposals, call on clients, and deliver presentations.
• Structure transactions, research industries and markets, and analyze existing and potential deals.
• Review legal documents, negotiate with clients, assess risks, prepare credit applications, and develop cash flow models.
• Participate in transaction due diligence, strategic planning, and business management for the tax equity business.
• Influence complex initiatives and coordinate logistics with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Economics.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience, including commercial banking or finance experience with strong credit analysis.
• Direct experience modeling and executing tax equity financing transactions involving Investment and Production tax credits.
• Experience analyzing and negotiating transaction documents and structuring complex project-oriented energy financings.
• Strong credit, risk analysis, problem-solving, relationship management, negotiation, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Must be authorized to work full time in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship. Ability to travel as required and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are also required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to thermal energy, oil and gas, midstream, renewable energy, infrastructure debt, or equity transactions.
