IIoT Solutions Engineer (Industrial IoT)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions spanning edge devices, gateways, connectivity, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Design data acquisition pipelines from PLCs, SCADA systems, and sensors using OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and Sparkplug B.
• Build edge computing applications, cloud ingestion and processing pipelines, real-time analytics, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance capabilities.
• Implement secure connectivity, device provisioning, OTA updates, certificate rotation, and zero-trust patterns.
• Develop operational dashboards and alerts, and integrate IIoT data with MES, ERP, CMMS, and historian systems.
• Collaborate with OT, process engineering, reliability, product, and business stakeholders while mentoring engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of IIoT or industrial software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with industrial protocols, a major cloud IoT platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and edge runtimes such as Greengrass or IoT Edge.
• Understanding of OT/IT integration, streaming and real-time analytics platforms, and industrial cybersecurity standards including IEC 62443 and NIST.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital-twin platforms and predictive maintenance ML models.
• Exposure to InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, Unified Namespace patterns, or industrial certifications such as ISA and IEC 62443.
