Lead Infrastructure Support Engineer (Azure)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Microsoft, Linux, VMware, and Azure resources across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Install, configure, deploy, and support Windows and Linux servers.
• Optimize Azure services, Application Insights, Databricks, and DevOps practices through automation and platform improvements.
• Monitor backups, logs, and system alerts, resolve technical issues, and improve service reliability.
• Maintain infrastructure security, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Lead modernization initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in on-call support, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• 8+ years of server administration experience across Linux and Windows environments.
• At least 2+ years of hands-on Azure experience.
• Strong experience with Linux administration, OpenShift, VMware virtualization, enterprise infrastructure, and co-located data centres.
• Experience with Azure services, DevOps practices, Application Insights, and Databricks.
• Experience with monitoring, backup, and recovery tools such as Rubrik and Azure Backup Vault, plus clear technical documentation skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoSys or FeedHub.
• Azure certification.
