Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain connectivity across Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and BLE.
• Build secure and reliable device messaging with MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and WebSockets, including device time synchronization with NTP or PTP.
• Implement secure boot flows, device identity, key and certificate provisioning, signed firmware updates, OTA deployment, and rollback mechanisms.
• Integrate connected devices with cloud IoT platforms and backend services while improving telemetry, health monitoring, and observability.
• Debug fleet issues and improve the resilience of deployed devices through engineering and production validation cycles.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, power electronics, mechanical, manufacturing, and software teams on production-ready devices, design reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience building connected embedded products or equivalent relevant industry or project experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and experience with RTOS environments such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
• Experience with Python for testing, tooling, or automation, plus solid IP networking and transport/application protocol fundamentals.
• Experience with TLS, certificates, device provisioning, firmware updates, bootloaders, or embedded CI/CD workflows.
• Practical debugging experience with logic analysers, protocol analysers, network sniffers, or observability platforms, alongside strong cross-functional problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Thread, Zigbee, BLE, cloud IoT services, secure boot, TPMs, secure elements, or hardware attestation.
• Experience with EMC/RF testing, antenna bring-up, factory testing, or industrial and distributed device deployments.
• Awareness of IEC 62443, ETSI EN 303 645, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
