Associate General Counsel (Fintech)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; in-office Monday through Friday at hirify.global's headquarters. Relocation can be discussed for candidates who are not currently based in the area.

What you will do

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor, SaaS, technology, commercial, and NDA agreements.
• Own the contract lifecycle and build templates and playbooks to support growing contract volume.
• Partner with Compliance on investment adviser and broker-dealer regulations, marketing reviews, disclosures, and policies.
• Support regulatory inquiries and examinations led by the Chief Legal Officer.
• Advise product, engineering, finance, sales, marketing, and operations on legal and regulatory considerations.
• Support financings, strategic partnerships, M&A diligence, board resolutions, equity documentation, entity records, internal training, and outside counsel management.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar; Virginia, D.C., or Maryland preferred, or eligibility to register as in-house counsel.
• 3+ years of post-JD experience, including in-house work at a technology company, financial services firm, or fintech organization.
• Corporate, transactional, or regulatory background, ideally combining law firm and in-house experience.
• Ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements at volume.
• Strong business judgment and clear communication skills, including translating complex legal issues into practical guidance.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment and willingness to learn the regulatory frameworks governing the business.
