TL;DR
Training Coordinator (Manufacturing): Coordinating and delivering operational training across a food ingredient manufacturing site with an accent on training records, competency matrices, compliance, and practical on-the-job learning. Focus on identifying skills gaps, supporting audits, developing training resources, and improving training delivery across shift-based operations.

Location: Glenbervie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, United Kingdom; on-site

Permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically 9:00am–5:00pm. Ad hoc flexibility is required to support later or night shifts; an 8.5% shift allowance applies when night-shift working is required. Candidates must have the permanent right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do

  • Coordinate training plans and activities across operational teams.
  • Deliver practical, face-to-face, on-the-job training and support new-starter inductions.
  • Maintain training records, competency matrices, compliance information, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Monitor training completion, identify skills and compliance gaps, and produce training reports.
  • Work with managers, Team Leaders, and subject matter experts to align training with operational requirements.
  • Develop training materials and competency frameworks while supporting training in food safety, health and safety, quality, equipment, processes, and operational change.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating and/or delivering training in an operational environment.
  • Confidence explaining processes clearly to different audiences and working alongside colleagues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining training records, matrices, or competency information.
  • Strong administration and IT skills, including confidence using learning systems, data, and digital tools.
  • Strong organisation, communication, relationship-building, and ownership skills.
  • Permanent right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship required now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, engineering, FMCG, food and drink, or another operational environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality, or health and safety requirements.
  • Train the Trainer, AET, Assessor, or RTITB/MHE Instructor qualifications.
  • Willingness to work toward RTITB/MHE instructor, food safety, or assessor qualifications.
