Payroll Operations Manager France

Location: France or Spain, including Malaga and Granada; hybrid work

What you will do

• Lead the Payroll and HR Operations MPS/BPO team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery against contractual scope and SLAs.
• Manage client relationships, participate in monthly reviews, and present KPI and service delivery reports.
• Calculate and manage service level credits, handle country-level escalations, and resolve operational issues.
• Collaborate with the Global Process Owner and senior management to improve payroll processes and operational efficiency.
• Own staffing, recruitment, evaluations, performance management, coaching, and professional development.
• Support training programs and promote collaboration, engagement, and a positive team culture.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in HR and payroll outsourcing in an enterprise environment, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, regulations, SLA management, and KPI reporting.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering payroll services to multinational clients.
• Leadership experience covering recruitment, team development, performance management, and coaching.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and process improvement skills.
• Fluent English, both verbal and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Payroll and BPO outsourcing experience.
• CPP, CPS, or CPM certification.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll, call centre technology, HR analytics, or automation tools.
• Fluency in other local languages.
