Global Electricity Expert

Location: Brussels, Belgium. Hybrid work model with 40% onsite attendance and a flexible schedule adjusted to project and stakeholder needs.

What you will do

• Act as the global subject matter expert for low- and medium-voltage electrical systems.
• Define, develop, maintain, and monitor global electrical engineering standards and best practices.
• Support CAPEX projects from feasibility studies through conceptual design and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Review compliance with cGxP, EHS requirements, company procedures, and good engineering practices.
• Support electrical safety, physical asset protection, NIS2, and ISO 27001 activities for physical security and OT environments.
• Collaborate with design firms, engineering teams, and stakeholders worldwide while promoting digitalization and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, including senior-level technical reference or subject matter expert responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems, power distribution, electrical equipment, control systems, instrumentation, and circuits.
• Experience supporting large, complex, and international engineering projects from feasibility and conceptual design phases onward.
• Experience developing technical standards, engineering guidelines, and best practices, and influencing stakeholders in a matrix organization.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, leadership, networking, and communication skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of U.S. electrical standards and regulations, including NFPA.
• Knowledge of NIS2, ISO 27001, physical security systems, OT environments, and BSL facilities.
• Experience with EPC or EPCM delivery models and professional engineering networks.
• Knowledge of sustainability, green engineering, digitalization, or high-voltage systems.
