Internal Control

Location: Must be legally eligible to work from France; preferably based in Paris. Hybrid role with remote work flexibility and an emphasis on in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Define and implement scalable internal control frameworks across business processes.
• Identify and monitor risks while co-building the next generation of risk tooling.
• Develop automated controls and use AI to detect emerging risks early.
• Perform second-level reviews in high-risk areas and ensure controls are properly documented and communicated to third-party partners.
• Support audits conducted by commercial partners and supervisors.
• Help teams across Insurance, Operations, Security, and Legal design and implement risk mitigation plans, while contributing to team growth and hiring.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in internal control or risk, ideally in insurance, a Big Four firm, or a regulated or fast-growing environment.
• Fluent French and English.
• Solid understanding of Solvency II and expertise in areas such as insurance operations, reserving, underwriting, or reporting frameworks.
• Comfort with AI and automation tools for scaling controls.
• Builder’s mindset and ability to act as a business partner to product and operational teams.
• Structured, precise, written-first working style suited to an asynchronous communication culture.

Nice to have

• Experience across France, Belgium, Spain, or Canada/OSFI.
• Exposure to the DORA framework.
• Exposure to HDS and ISO 27001.
