GCC Content Strategy Lead

What you will do

• Prioritize and execute country-level content strategies and growth levers, owning content health and production.
• Ensure content meets Canva standards, reflects local culture, and supports growth metrics.
• Own content performance across search, recommendations, editorial surfaces, engagement, activation, and retention.
• Lead editorial strategy and activate cultural moments in partnership with Marketing, Social, and PR.
• Partner with the MENAP Country Manager, Design Lead, SEO, Localization, Creators, Product, Marketing, and regional stakeholders.
• Build relationships with local creators and partners to develop a strong content ecosystem.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in content strategy, regional business strategy and operations, partnerships, or similar roles in high-growth content, media, marketplace, or global technology companies.
• Deep understanding of local content, trends, aesthetics, and user preferences in the relevant market.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to balance planning with hands-on execution.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience aligning cross-functional teams across regions.
• Experience managing production workflows, partnerships, or local creator activation.
• Arabic language skills and relevant cultural knowledge are required, with the ability to work across different time zones.
