Senior Test Engineer (Hardware)

Location: Onsite at the Santa Clara, California office; some international travel is required.

Annual base salary: $126,000–$189,000 USD, with potential eligibility for incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Develop, port, and maintain automated Python test scripts for diagnosing returned enterprise storage controllers.
• Lead test-code transitions and engineering readiness for new product introductions across global repair sites.
• Standardize test procedures and sequencing with repair center technicians to isolate hardware failures and reduce test escapes and material waste.
• Coordinate with Service Logistics, Hardware Design, Quality, and third-party vendors to resolve test discrepancies and improve diagnostic logic.
• Analyze large operational and hardware datasets to identify root-cause trends and improve repair disposition metrics and failure categorization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing test, repair operations, or service logistics, preferably with enterprise storage or server hardware.
• Advanced system-level hardware debugging experience and knowledge of manufacturing test environments, server or enterprise storage architecture, or electronics repair.
• Proficiency writing, debugging, and maintaining Python test automation in a collaborative Git-based workflow.
• Ability to analyze large operational or hardware datasets and communicate root-cause findings to engineering and supply chain stakeholders.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills for working with partner technicians, design engineers, and operational teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
