Principal Software Engineer – Test Automation

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; minimum onsite days required each week

Salary: $112,000–$154,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Develop and implement test strategies with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.
• Lead test planning, estimation, execution, verification, and validation for complex software features and releases.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases based on business requirements and user needs.
• Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks, tools, dashboards, and reusable test components.
• Perform front-end, back-end, API, and exploratory testing; investigate defects and conduct root cause analysis.
• Maintain test plans, test suites, protocols, quality documentation, traceability, and quality metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software test automation or SDET roles within a product development environment.
• Strong expertise in test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C/C++ and experience with PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, or Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and/or GraphQL services, with exploratory testing and bug investigation skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship is not available.
