NDA Litigated File Handler (Insurance Litigation)

Location: Bolton, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with attendance at the Bolton Parklands office at least one day per week; Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, 35 hours per week.

What you will do

• Manage a caseload of litigated road traffic accident claims involving suspected fraud for multiple insurance clients.
• Review and analyse evidence throughout each case and agree appropriate litigation strategies with clients and lead lawyers.
• Investigate claims, identify strategic litigation opportunities, and handle cases from receipt through resolution.
• Protect clients’ positions in proceedings, comply with court timetables, and undertake advocacy where required and cost-effective.
• Report to insurer clients, maintain accurate case management records, meet KPIs, and ensure timely billing.
• Delegate tasks to assistants and comply with client guidelines, file management policies, procedural requirements, and SRA Standards & Regulations.

Requirements

• Experience handling civil litigation claims as a legal File Handler or equivalent qualification such as ILEX or LPC.
• Experience with RTA pre-litigated and/or litigated caseloads and an understanding of insurance litigation, indemnity principles, and the CPR.
• Strong analytical, advocacy, client care, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, work under pressure, anticipate problems, and identify solutions.
• Experience using time recording and billing systems.
• Qualified solicitor or CILEX with the necessary practice rights is desirable; CILEX Lawyers will also be considered.

• Experience handling linked and organised fraud claims.
