Managed Security Services Engineer (Bot Defense)

What you will do

• Investigate mitigated and unmitigated alerts to identify potential threats and protect customers.
• Analyze traffic and provide real-time guidance on security protocols and defensive responses during attacks.
• Communicate directly with customers through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• Document incident actions, procedures, and operational knowledge in relevant systems.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Product Management, Development, and other cross-functional teams.
• Mentor colleagues, troubleshoot processes, and investigate emerging attacks and defenses.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity-related fields; NOC or SOC experience is relevant.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required for communicating technical and operational details.
• General understanding of HTTP and web application security, including SQL injection, cross-site scripting, web scraping, CSRF, brute force, cookie manipulation, and parameter tampering.
• Strong customer service, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Interest in cybersecurity or network security.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including possible early mornings, late evenings, overnight periods, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent experience in Information System Security or a related field.
• Security incident response experience.
• Programming or scripting experience, enterprise network technology knowledge, or fundamental Linux skills.
• Familiarity with hirify.global products and technologies, including BIG-IP, TMOS, iRules, iApps, and iControl.
• Fluency in additional languages.
