Threat Research Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within Europe, Albania, Poland, Romania, or Ukraine; work within European time zones.

What you will do

• Monitor threats and investigate suspicious activity using logs, dashboards, detection systems, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
• Analyze attack patterns and create detailed threat scenarios from collected data.
• Research and respond to reported threats, customer escalations, and security incidents.
• Improve detection and blocking mechanisms for automated attacks and malicious behavior.
• Analyze competitor intelligence, public sources, and industry trends to identify emerging threats.
• Document attack methodologies and investigation results while collaborating with engineering and security teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in cybersecurity, threat research, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on SQL experience and practical experience with Kibana and Elasticsearch.
• Strong understanding of modern web applications, browser APIs, browser security policies, HTTP/HTTPS, DOM, events, XHR, and WebSockets.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, SQL and NoSQL databases, and networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
• Experience with prompt engineering and chatbot-related technologies, plus the ability to troubleshoot system and network issues.
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher; candidates must be based in the listed European locations.

Nice to have

• Python scripting, crawler or scraper development, deobfuscation, or reverse engineering experience.
• Experience with Imply, Datadog, or other monitoring and observability tools.
• Background in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, or threat intelligence.
