Backend Engineer (Node.js)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain JavaScript code for new features and performance optimization.
• Improve platform performance and caching as the system scales.
• Build maintainable, reusable, reliable, and efficient code.
• Work with AWS infrastructure, monitoring, and alerting to support high performance.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver user experiences.
• Contribute to technical and product strategy and apply testing and code review practices.

Requirements

• Commercial experience with JavaScript, including ES6/ES7 features.
• Experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express or Sequelize.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of web design patterns.
• Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to clean, maintainable code.

Hiring process

• Initial talent team screen: 30 minutes.
• System design interview: 60 minutes, followed by a 60-minute technical task.
• Final interview: 60 minutes; feedback is expected within 2–3 business days after each stage.
