What you will do

• Own and evolve services and applications across the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications and RESTful microservices using modern engineering practices.
• Work with product owners, stakeholders, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Improve quality through automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and continuous improvement.
• Lead technical problem-solving, incident investigation, secure development, and architectural decisions.
• Mentor and coach engineers while helping reduce technical debt and improve platform sustainability.

Requirements

• Strong commercial software development experience with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful microservices with Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
• Solid cloud technology experience, ideally with Azure, plus infrastructure and containerisation tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of software design principles, clean architecture, test-driven development, and Agile delivery.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, technical problem-solving, and engineering mentoring skills.
