What you will do

• Own and evolve services and applications across their full lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-based applications and RESTful microservices.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Drive quality through automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and continuous improvement.
• Lead technical problem-solving, incident investigations, architectural decisions, and technical debt reduction.
• Mentor engineers and promote secure software development and engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Strong commercial software development experience with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful microservices with Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of cloud technologies, ideally Azure, plus infrastructure and containerisation tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, clean architecture, test-driven development, and Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and engineering mentoring skills.
