TL;DR
Subject Support Manager (Geography) (Education): Supporting teachers and schools with Geography qualifications, subject queries, curriculum delivery, and national education initiatives with an accent on assessment knowledge, pedagogy, and stakeholder engagement. Focus on analysing customer data, delivering subject sessions and presentations, shaping qualification development, and collaborating across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Events.

Location: Hybrid, with one day in the office per week and regular national travel including overnight stays. Office locations: Manchester, London, or Milton Keynes.

Salary: £43,000–£48,900 in Manchester; £44,700–£50,900 in London and Milton Keynes.

What you will do

  • Represent hirify.global and deliver Geography subject messages to teachers, schools, centres, conferences, and other external audiences.
  • Support teachers and centres with subject-related queries and qualification delivery.
  • Plan and deliver Geography Curriculum Connects sessions and other customer-facing activities, both online and face-to-face.
  • Build relationships with subject stakeholders, associations, and learned societies to gather insight and support future developments.
  • Analyse data, reports, dashboards, and customer feedback to identify support needs and improve delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Training, and Events on subject priorities, projects, and assessment reform.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of physical and human Geography, relevant specifications, current pedagogy, and GCSE and/or A-level assessment.
  • Current or former teaching experience, or equivalent credibility with teachers.
  • Experience extending influence beyond the classroom through subject networks, CPD, EdTech projects, or other outward-facing responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organisation, planning, prioritisation, leadership, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Ability to use data to inform delivery, monitor customer impact, influence stakeholders, and handle robust conversations.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the UK, including occasional overnight stays; an Enhanced DBS is required.

  • Experience in EdTech, CPD, or other education-focused sectors.
  • Experience with subject associations, learned societies, or assessment reform.
