Education and Early Childhood Development (ECD) Technical Advisor – MENAU

Location: Remote/hybrid; candidates must be located in Jordan, Lebanon, or the United Kingdom and have the right to work in their location. The role may require travel within the MENAU region for up to approximately 40% of the time.

Salary: £52,210–£61,999 per year for the UK pay rate; local salary scales apply for other locations.

What you will do

• Provide education and ECD technical assistance to MENAU country programs during a six-month parental leave cover.
• Support program design, assessments, proposal development, technical reviews, and alignment with IRC standards and outcome frameworks.
• Assess program quality, analyze indicators, and support program adaptation and course correction.
• Deliver technical trainings, mentoring, coaching, and capacity strengthening for country program staff.
• Document and share cross-context learning, evidence, tools, and best practices across the region.
• Coordinate with education, ECD, and other sector advisors to promote integrated programming and avoid duplication with content and curriculum work.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience implementing or managing ECD and education programs.
• Experience in humanitarian or crisis-affected contexts, preferably in the MENAU region.
• Expertise in technical program design, monitoring and evaluation, research methods, and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is required.
• Excellent spoken and written English and the right to work in Jordan, Lebanon, or the United Kingdom are required.

• Master’s degree in Education or a relevant field.
• Experience with relevant donors, peer agencies, and national contexts in humanitarian, transitional, or post-crisis settings.
