Advisory Teacher - Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

Location: Romford, United Kingdom; flexible and hybrid working options available.

Salary: £55,520–£59,766 per year plus Outer London Allowance of £2,431.

hirify.global’s SEND and Alternative Provision Service is a multidisciplinary education support service working with schools and settings to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

What you will do

• Support schools, colleges and educational settings through Team Around the School and other meetings.
• Provide advice, support, training and modelling of interventions and strategies for SEMH needs.
• Work with Educational Psychologists, therapists, Advisory Teachers and other specialist professionals to embed the Team Around the School delivery model.
• Collaboratively deploy and professionally support SEMH Advisors.
• Contribute to consultancy-based, multi-agency work with schools and parents to achieve support-plan goals.
• Help practitioners build the skills needed to improve engagement and access to learning.

Requirements

• Experience and capability relevant to advisory teaching and supporting children and young people with SEMH needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with schools, parents and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Ability to provide solution-focused advice, training and intervention modelling.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
