Software Engineer II (Java/Spring Boot)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States — hybrid schedule

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver software features end-to-end, from design through deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
• Build and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend services and REST APIs within a microservices architecture.
• Develop frontend features with TypeScript using Vue or React.
• Design and optimize SQL schemas, queries, and indexes, while working with NoSQL databases.
• Contribute to event-driven architecture using SNS/SQS, EventBridge, or Kafka.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, cloud deployments, and service monitoring.

Requirements

• Professional experience building production applications with Java and Spring Boot and/or TypeScript.
• Experience developing Vue or React frontend applications and REST APIs.
• Strong SQL database design and query optimization skills, plus working knowledge of a NoSQL database such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum development.
• Understanding of software design patterns, testing practices, and effective technical collaboration.

Nice to have

• Python, event-driven architecture, AWS Lambda, microservices, Docker, ECS/EKS, or infrastructure as code experience.
• Experience with performance optimization, web accessibility, Android applications, embedded Linux, or connected hardware.
• Familiarity with mobile app store release processes.
