Stainless Steel Welder - Shop Fabrication

Location: Billings, Montana, United States; shop-based work

A national construction lifecycle partner providing electrical, mechanical, structural, inspection, underground maintenance, installation, and fabrication services across the United States.

What you will do

• Plan, lay out, weld, install, test, and repair process piping and similar tubular products.
• Work on a long-term stainless steel prefabricated piping project with consistent shop assignments.
• Select appropriate filler metals and construction materials for each assignment.
• Inspect working conditions, identify problems and cost-saving measures, and take corrective action.
• Supervise and train welder helpers while meeting project plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards.
• Complete work productively, safely, and in compliance with PPE and environmental health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• At least five years of welding experience.
• Experience in construction, mining, or a related industry, or a two-year vocational-technical degree.
• Successful completion of a welding qualification and required weld test.
• Ability to meet all applicable state license requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work as part of a team, solve problems, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10 certification.
• Prior orbital welding experience.
