Director of Construction (Hybrid, Seattle)

Location: Hybrid role based in Seattle, Washington, with regular site visits and travel across the hirify.global Rack fleet.

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 annual, with potential performance-based incentives or bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead construction delivery for new hirify.global Rack stores, remodels, and selected projects across the off-price fleet.
• Manage multiple concurrent, multi-location construction projects with a focus on speed to market, cost efficiency, schedule, and quality.
• Build and lead project teams involving general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Develop standardized project management tools, construction processes, standards, and best practices.
• Partner with Rack, Store Design, Finance, executives, and external stakeholders on estimates, budgets, priorities, resources, and project strategy.
• Conduct site visits and construction reviews to verify compliance with hirify.global standards, codes, and schedule commitments.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on construction experience delivering large-scale retail or big-box construction projects.
• Experience managing high-volume, multi-location construction programs on time and on budget.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, general contractor management, permitting, and site logistics.
• Strong financial acumen and cost-conscious decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and stakeholder-influencing abilities.
• Ability to travel as required for project oversight and on-site presence across the Rack fleet.
