Pipefitter Journeyman – Shop Fabrication

Location: Casper, Wyoming, United States; onsite shop and industrial environments

What you will do

• Configure pipe-system blueprints and plan piping layouts.
• Cut, bend, thread, solder, and weld carbon and stainless steel piping.
• Install and securely join piping and tubing segments using welding and other equipment.
• Install manual and electric safety valves.
• Verify that steam, water, chemicals, and other liquids are shut off before work begins.
• Remove debris and hazardous materials from piping systems as needed.

Requirements

• At least three years of pipefitting experience or relevant pipe-fitter apprenticeship experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus vocational school or trade apprenticeship training.
• Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements.
• Accurate attention to detail, self-motivation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, on limited working surfaces, and in environments with heat, cold, noise, odors, and limited visibility.
• Compliance with safety regulations, PPE requirements, and environmental health and safety policies is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal piping and building-code regulations.
• OSHA 10 certification.
