Foundry Maintenance Technician, 1st & 2nd Shifts

Location: Ashland, Ohio, United States of America. Onsite role with 1st and 2nd shift schedules, Monday through Friday, plus overtime as needed.

Salary: $30.69/hour, plus a $0.55/hour shift differential for 2nd shift.

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, install, and test machine tools, foundry equipment, mechanical systems, elevators, and related industrial equipment.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, planers, drill presses, band saws, and other shop equipment to fabricate and repair precision parts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, identify root causes, and complete tear-downs and reassembly.
• Fabricate and repair jigs, fixtures, flasks, belts, chutes, hoppers, pans, and other production equipment.
• Perform plumbing, pipefitting, welding, cutting, rigging, preventive maintenance, equipment installations, and emergency repairs.
• Maintain industrial electrical systems, automatic controls, electronic controls, and plant-wide electrical equipment.

Requirements

• Journeyman’s Card in industrial maintenance or at least 4 years of equivalent maintenance experience.
• Welding skills and knowledge of pipefitting functions.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, written specifications, charts, and tables.
• Ability to work in hot, dusty, noisy, physically demanding environments and tight spaces.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment such as tow motors, high lifts, sweepers, scrubbers, golf carts, tractors, and lawn mowers.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and consistently lift up to 50 pounds; steel-toed footwear and metatarsal covers are required.

Nice to have

• High- or low-voltage electrical experience.
• CNC experience.
• PLC experience.
