Senior Data Analyst (Energy)

Location: Europe; remote-first and flexible working.

Salary: £75,000–£92,500 per year, or equivalent in the local currency, plus equity.

What you will do

• Monitor the sales pipeline and resolve overlapping or double-counted in-progress and confirmed revenue.
• Define and report forecast accuracy against annual targets and establish reliable commercial metric standards.
• Investigate CRM data-quality issues, including parent-child asset relationships, that affect pipeline and forecast reliability.
• Perform commercial opportunity sizing, partner performance analysis, and pipeline risk and trend analysis.
• Translate retention, renewal, and other complex analyses into clear recommendations for senior commercial stakeholders.
• Build data adoption and self-service capabilities across the commercial team.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills for investigating complex datasets across modern analytics stacks such as dbt and Omni or similar BI tools.
• Good commercial understanding and the ability to connect analysis to revenue and margin outcomes.
• Experience developing forecasts or scenario models and explaining variance from actuals.
• Ability to turn ambiguous stakeholder questions into defined analytical problems and present recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience building trusted metrics or reporting from messy or inconsistent CRM and transactional data.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy, fintech, or another commercially complex, data-heavy sector.
• Python for statistical or data-quality analysis.
• Experience building metric frameworks connecting operational activity to commercial outcomes.
• Familiarity with CRM syshirify.globals and parent-child or account hierarchy data structures.
