Analytics Engineer, Finance and Modeling

Location: Fully remote from Paris, France

Salary: €55,000–€70,000 per year

What you will do

• Define, test, version, and document governed finance metrics such as ARR, renewal rate, churn, and CAC in dbt and Unity Catalog.
• Connect metrics to the internal Slack AI agent so Finance can query trusted definitions directly.
• Automate recurring finance reporting in marimo and retire the underlying Tableau views.
• Reconcile transactions across app stores, payment processors, subscription systems, and the financial ledger.
• Build cohort subscriber and revenue projections, renewal and retention forecasts, LTV models, and pricing and promotion impact analyses.
• Ship models as tested, lineage-aware scored tables in dbt and Unity Catalog rather than standalone notebooks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, BI engineering, or advanced analytics.
• Experience shipping statistical models into business processes, including forecasting, survival analysis, cohort analysis, or propensity modeling.
• Experience with subscription metrics such as ARR/MRR, renewal, churn, LTV/CAC, or cohort revenue.
• Strong SQL, dimensional modeling, Python, and Git skills.
• Ability to evaluate growth experiment or pricing-change results rigorously and explain financial discrepancies.
• Must be able to work remotely from Paris, France.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, Databricks, Unity Catalog, or a comparable lakehouse.
• Experience reconciling transactional data with a financial system of record.
• Experience with code-first notebook reporting using marimo, Hex, Streamlit, or Quarto.
